Swanson's instructors are current and former professional players, major league scouts, and current and former college players and coaches. SPBI teaches the fundamentals of the game, allowing each player to get the most out of his or her abilities. From individual instruction to week-long camps, players can enjoy the opportunity to learn from some of the best in baseball.
Dave Swanson
Owner, General Manager
Swanson began offering professional baseball instruction in 2002 after an 11-year professional career that included stops with the minor league affiliates of the N.Y. Mets, Colorado Rockies, and Boston Red Sox organizations. He worked and played with some of the best in baseball, including former Big Leaguers Edgardo Alfonzo, Preston Wilson, & Jason Isringhausen, former Red Sox player and manager Butch Hobson, current Rockies 1B Todd Helton, and several others. Swanson also produces the K-ZONE for ESPN’ Sunday & Wednesday Night Baseball. Dave is also the Pitching Coach at NWC High School with Carlson and Maule.
“Swanson’s Baseball is a total program that not only teaches the physical aspects of hitting, pitching, and fielding but also teaches the mental aspects. Aspects such as pre-game preparation, how to think in different situations, and what the opposing athlete may be thinking as well. Swanson’s instructors are superb at what they do, and are excellent teachers of the game. I know that when I bring my son to a lesson, he will learn the fundamentals of the game, and the instructors will always take the time and talk with parents before or after a lesson. In my view, Swanson’s Baseball provides the best overall baseball program around.”
