Baseball Instructors
Swanson's coaching staff consists of current and former professional players, major league scouts, and current and former college players and coaches. Each instructor has reached high levels of baseball by practicing the fundamentals of the game, and has learned that homeruns and strikeouts are great, but only a small part of the game.
Jason Maule CCSU Former AA infielder and outfielder for the Houston Astros and New York Yankees organizations; played with Derek Jeter in Trenton. Instructs Swanson’s spring, summer, & fall camps/clinics, and is an assistant baseball coach at NWC High School. |
Rob Manzo Quinnipiac Univ. Former Division II catcher; current assistant at Wesleyan and head coach of Berlin’s American Legion team. Led team to Legion World Series this past summer! |
Ryan Radmanovich Pepperdine Univ. Former Major Leaguer with the Seattle Mariners (1998-99); spent time with Twins, Padres, Pirates and Mariners organizations; former member of 2004 & 2008 Canadian Olympic Teams. |
Mike Cunningham ECSU Former player-pitcher; coach of Swanson’s Summer Travel Teams. |
Kyle Brown Ohio State Four-year letter winner from 2000-03; co-Captain of the 2003 team; top 10 in career winning percentage. Brown is a full-time producer at ESPN. |
Cory Carlson Eckerd College The former Div. II pitcher is the current Northwest Catholic High School baseball head coach. Cory is a pitching and defense instructor. |
